Redeeming gift cards

Ansa allows customers to load merchant gift cards or eGift Cards into their wallet balances. Once redeemed, customers can spend these funds from their wallet.

View gift card redemptions in the Merchant Portal from the Analytics page, Transactions page (filter by transaction type: Add Balance (Gift Card)), and in Financial Reports.

Gift card redemptions in the Mobile SDK

Customers can navigate to their mobile wallet UI to load funds from a gift card. From there they will select “Add a gift card”, and enter their gift card number on the following screen. The entire remaining gift card balance will be loaded into their wallet.

Enabling gift card redemptions in the API

Enable gift card redemption in the API via the update merchant endpoint.

Gift cards can be redeemed via the redeem gift card endpoint.
