Gift Card Redemption in the App

You can now let customers redeem funds into their balance from a valid merchant gift card or eGift Card. Allowing users to redeem gift cards into the balance will drive wallet adoption by converting existing gift card recipients into new or active wallet users by enabling the users to redeem into their balance.

Enabling Gift Card Redemptions

Customers can redeem gift cards directly into their wallet balance. Once redeemed, your customer will be able to seamlessly spend directly from their wallet and you can view all gift card redemption details directly in the Ansa Portal with clear reporting of this new transaction type.

A merchant can enable gift card redemption in the API via the Update merchant endpoint. Gift cards can be redeemed via the Redeem gift card endpoint.
