Flow of funds
Customer Funded Balances
Customers fund their wallet balances by providing a funding payment method, which the merchant associates to the Customer ID. Supported funding mechanisms include debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and ACH. Once a payment method is associated with a Customer ID, the payment method can be used to add funds to the wallet.
Ansa acts as a payment gateway, authorizing the payment through your PSP. Funds are immediately available for the customer to spend from their wallet, even before the PSP has settled funds.
In addition, Ansa maintains an ongoing system for monitoring risk and fraud, which is intended to safeguard merchants and promote trust and loyalty among customers.
Settlement of Funds
Ansa provisions a bank account for merchants to manage their unsettled funds and accounting complexities. The funds are considered prepaid liabilities until they are spent by the customers. Funds are settled to your configured settlement accounts, based on your settlement type. Please visit the Settlements section of our documentation to learn more. https://docs.ansa.dev/docs/settlement
Merchant Business Bank Account
Once Ansa handles fund settlements, the net proceeds will be paid out to your business account via ACH.
